Terms of use

These terms cover two separate things: using the public site at geo-paris.com, and the form an actual audit or advisory engagement takes. The site is here to explain the work and let you reach me; it is not the engagement. Where a signed engagement and these site terms ever appear to differ, the signed engagement is what counts.

1. Using the site

What you read on geo-paris.com is an honest, good-faith account of how I work as of the day it was written. It is information, not legal, regulatory or commercial advice, and acting on it outside an active engagement is something you do at your own judgement and risk.

Please do not harvest the site's text in bulk, rebuild the audit method from the public pages, or republish long passages with no credit. Linking to a page, or quoting a passage with a clear attribution, is welcome and needs no permission.

2. The contact form

Sending the form is the start of a conversation, not a contract: it creates no offer and no promise on either side. It is simply a tidy way to give me the context of your situation. I reply once that context is enough to say something useful. Submitting it gives you no automatic right to a particular answer, a fixed turnaround, or a service.

I may also decline a message — it might fall outside what I audit, capacity at the moment might not allow it, or there may be another practical reason. A decline is never a judgement on your hotel, restaurant or shop; it usually comes down to fit and to how much time I have.

3. The shape of an engagement

A paid audit or advisory engagement begins only after both of us have signed a written agreement. That agreement is where scope, deliverables, timing, fees, payment terms, confidentiality, intellectual property and dispute resolution are set out in detail. These site terms do not stand in for it.

An engagement looks at public web evidence about your establishment — your own pages, your maps entry, your menu, your booking listings, the fragments of guides and directories that mention you — and reports where the wording or the visible page elements make you hard for an AI answer to read correctly. Every recommendation is tied to something concrete and visible, not to a vague brand notion; French and English wording is checked so the two tell the same story; and no part of the engagement promises to control rankings or citation share. Where an instruction would cut against this way of working, the engagement is renegotiated or ended rather than bent.

4. No guaranteed result

How an establishment shows up in answer engines and in search depends on things no one fully controls — how the models behave, the policies of third-party platforms, the changes you choose to apply yourself, the market, and plain time. So nothing here is promised: not a position in the results, not a citation from any model, not a recommendation, not any particular AI behaviour. What the engagement does is read the public evidence, compare it across sources and across French and English, and point to the page wording and visible elements most likely to make your business easier to interpret correctly. The results themselves stay outside my control, and the concrete, bounded expectations live in the written agreement.

5. Liability

For free use of the site, my liability is limited as far as the law allows. For paid work, liability is stated and capped inside the written agreement. None of this removes liability for deliberate wrongdoing, fraud, gross negligence, or anything the law will not let be excluded.

6. Governing law

Use of the site is governed by the law of the place where I am established, except where consumer-protection law gives you a more favourable forum. For a paid engagement, the governing law and the competent court are fixed in the written agreement.

7. Changes to these terms

These terms are revised as the way I work changes, and the version in force is the one marked by the "Updated" date at the top. A change touching an engagement already under way is communicated directly to the client concerned; a change to the site alone simply appears here.
